SAN FRANCISCO, USA // Peter Kadin is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at EMPIRE, the largest privately held record label in the United States. Since joining the team in 2018, Kadin has been instrumental in scaling EMPIRE’s reach into new territories including Europe and Africa. During his time at EMPIRE Kadin has worked on several groundbreaking cultural campaigns including Shaboozey’s country ascent to #1 on the charts, the launch of Aaliyah’s storied catalog to streaming services, and Fireboy DML’s afrobeats crossover to North America.

Before joining EMPIRE, Kadin founded his own public relations and marketing consulting agency, which served notable clients including Stevie Wonder, Bleacher Report, and hip-hop icons Jeezy and 2 Chainz. Prior to this, he was the Senior Director of Media & Artist Relations at Def Jam Recordings in New York City. One of his most notable campaigns at Def Jam was with artist Logic and his record “1-800-273-8255”, the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Through working the record in conjunction with the Mental Health Association of America, the campaign won a Clio and Cannes Lion Award, was named one of the top campaigns of the year by AdAge, and, most importantly, saved numerous lives according to the British Medical Journal.

Kadin’s career began at The Chamber Group, an independent public relations and marketing agency, where he built relationships across music, fashion, sports, and more. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he started his journey in the music industry by booking concerts on campus.

Throughout his work Kadin has earned 4 clio awards, one Cannes Lion and was named Billboard Indie Power Player in 2024. Peter is also a member of the inaugural Music Industry Relations Committee for the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, TN.
