LIVERPOOL, UK // David Evans is Head of Partnerships Strategy at Everton Football Club and has worked with some of the biggest brands in sport for the past 15 years.

Starting his sports marketing journey at Amer Sports he led the marketing function for Wilson Sporting Goods in Northern Europe, with a particular focus on tennis and team sports – including the NFL International Series matches at Wembley. As part of the Amer Sports portfolio he also worked on sports, trade and consumer marketing activity in winter sports, outdoor, running, golf and wider racket sports working on iconic brands such as Salomon, Wilson Golf, Suunto and Atomic Ski.

Moving on to Liverpool FC he managed commercial partnerships, working with brands such as Nike, Carlsberg, SC Johnson, Barclays, EA Sports, Budweiser, Panini and more – playing a key role in activity such as Nike kit launches, launching the LeBron James x LFC collaboration, LFC x Converse capsule apparel collections and Carlsberg’s award winning ‘Champions Cans’ and 30 years campaigns.

Alongside sports marketing, he led the operations of the Liverpool FC pre-season tour to the USA encompassing five matches in three countries including iconic destinations such as Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium. He has also worked in sporting operational roles at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Wimbledon, the World Taekwondo Championships, the World Gymnastics Championships and the UEFA Champions League Final.

He is currently responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of Everton’s commercial partnership portfolio as the club enters a transformational phase of its history – one final season at Goodison Park before moving to a new purpose-built iconic venue on the bank of the River Mersey.
