BURBANK, USA // Stewart’s always been fascinated by magic. And to him, the intersection of art and technology that is filmmaking, is the type of magic he came to Los Angeles to pursue.

It took him 5 years of living in here after arriving in 2004 to admit to himself that he’s fallen in love with the city. By then, he was in the middle of directing his first feature film in Romania. He’d been kidnapped in Brazil. And he’d set up several pitches across town with development deals.

Alongside everything, he also focused his filmmaking lens on entertainment marketing, working in design and motion graphics.

Today, he’s a creative director at The Refinery. He’s humbled to be able to work with the incredible talent that surrounds him and tries his best to stay out of their way. Over the years he’s worked on hundreds of projects across theatrical and streaming, collaborated with clients at most of the studios, directed commercials, and flown to 8 different countries to supervise marketing shoots. Trailers, title sequences, and coffee get him up in the morning.

On the weekends you’ll find him on a trail near LA enjoying an audiobook while his seventeen pound chihuahua mix, Lucy, takes him for a hike.
