HOLLYWOOD, USA // Jon Berkowitz is the Emmy award-winning creative director of the motion design team at Aspect. Since graduating from the USC School of Cinematic Arts with an MFA in film production and interactive media in 2001, Jon has worked with the best in motion design at companies like Imaginary Forces, Method Studios, Picture Mill, Digital Kitchen, The Ant Farm and now Aspect. During his tenure as Creative Director and Vice President at Aspect he has been leading teams in creating cutting-edge graphic and animation-driven branded content, teasers, trailers, TV spots, and main title sequences. With his Aspect team, he won the Emmy award for Outstanding Motion Design in 2022 for “Home Before Dark”. Among his other best-known works are the main titles sequences for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, The Color Purple, Game Night, and the texting sequence from Crazy Rich Asians. He has Creatively Directed thousands of trailer graphics, including those for Furiosa, Call of Duty, the Modern Warfare Franchise, and The Hobbit. As a Creative Director, Jon marries his knowledge of design and motion graphics with his background as a writer, live-action director and storyteller to bring deep narrative and emotional engagement to all of his projects.
